A note about Indonesia Writing Campaign 2013 by KEMENPAREKRAF

Kementrian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif has been doing some activities in Makassar. One of them is Kampanye Indonesia Menulis which is held on November 16^th,2013 in Kayangan Ballroom, Makassar Golden Hotel,Makassar. It is followed by 50 participants from many Universities and writing organization from Makassar, such as Hasanuddin University, Indonesian Moslem University, University of Muhammadiyah Makassar and Also Forum Lingkar Pena Sul-Sel.

The program was supposed to be opened formally by Kepala Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Provinsi Sul-Sel, but unfortunately he did not come because of another business, therefore it was opened by Ibu Poppy Savitri, secretary of Ditjen Ekonomi Kreatif berbasis Media dan IPTEK of KEMENPAREKRAF. “I am happy to meet a young generation who has a hi-creativity in creating something. You know, our natural resources will be end someday, but the  creativity will never be end,so be creative!” she said warmly.

In that moment also there were two sessions of Fiction and non-fiction writing workshop which were presented by two guests. They are  FX.  Rudi Gunawan, a well known writer and also the representative of penerbit  Mizan, Ibu Pangestu Ningsih. They shared a lot of writing tips, including how to tackle the writer’s block and how to make a writing which is appropriated with the media purposes and requirements. “no longer many people can write well. Everybody can do writing. It is not about a gift, it is about an effort to do it!” said Rudi.

While Ibu Pangestu Ningsih advised all participants to dig the local values then package them into a good writing in order to give appreciation on it. Also to spread these local value to be our national character. “I’m happy to be here coz I can get many new experiences and knowledge from this program. Let’s write something!” said Andi Batara, a representative participant from FLP SUL-SEL. The program was closed by doing photo session.
